Why did you become a seminarian: While I was a pre-medicine student at Michigan State University, I experienced a deep spiritual healing through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As I took on some leadership in the student parish there, I witnessed this same healing mercy of God working in others and noticed that I desired to help all His people to receive His merciful love, helping Him heal not just bodies, but souls!
Who is your favorite Saint and why: St. Peter - To me, he is the perfect example of how God's choice is mysterious. He invites even the most broken people to draw close to him, and He transforms them into great saints, as long as they remain humble and ask for His mercy.
What are some of your hobbies: Playing board games, running (I'm currently training for my first marathon), hiking, eating delicious/unique foods, playing volleyball, and watching movies.
What advice would you give to someone discerning the priesthood: Pray! Develop a habit of regular prayer before the tabernacle, and start attending daily Mass. Prayer helps us make Jesus our best friend so that we can be ready to say yes to whatever wild adventures He invites us on. Know that, if priesthood is God's will for you, it will be a life of joyful adventure, because God only wants our good.
