Soccer with Kzoo Catholic Sports League
The next KCSL sport is soccer. Beginning on Tuesday, April 18th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., this league will take place at St. Monica Parish (530 W. Permanent Diaconate Informational Sessions Schedule
Married couples and single men are invited to come and learn about the Permanent Diaconate in the Diocese of Kalamazoo. Following are the informational sessions:
BISHOP'S SCOUT MASS:Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 at 3 pm (St. Augustine Cathedral)
Annual Spring Overnight Retreat for Adults with Cognitive/Developmental Disabilities, May 6-7, 2017.
The retreat will take place Saturday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. to Sunday, May 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Camp Friedenswald in Cassopolis. Activities will focus on the theme “Prayer: Untying the Knots in Our Lives.” Enjoy fellowship, food, prayer, activities, crafts, Mass and more. Mass for Life
Saturday, April 8, all are welcome to the Mass for Life held at St. Monica Catholic Church, Kalamazoo at 9 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a baby item and plan to stay after for light refreshments.
Triennial Convention for women
The Detroit Province Council of Catholic Women (from all dioceses of Michigan) will hold their triennial convention on April 21-22 at the Holiday Inn near the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The theme is "Lead Me Lord, Renew My Strength". The celebration will include talks by Fr. John Riccardo, Fr. Ptarick Gonyeau, Bill Richart, Katie O'Mara and Fr. Patrick Maher. April 25: Protect Young Eyes Internet Safety Training, St. Peter Parish Hall, Douglas, 7-8:30 p.m.
"Senior" Prom" A Starry Night
If you grew up in the 50s, 60s or 70s, you are invited to "A Starry Night" prom hosted by the teen ministry at St. Peter Parish, Douglas on Saturday, April 29 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10/each and include a full meal, ice cream sundae bar, music and dancing. Proceeds will go to raise money for the teen ministry's mission trip.
Cursillo Men's weekend held at St. Joseph
All men are invited to join in a Cursillo weekend, focusing on developing, living and sharing your spirituality in today's society. The Men's weekend will be held May 4-7 at St. Joseph Parish, Kalamazoo. More information, including registration information, is available online. A Women's weekend will be held in November. May 13: Fatima Anniversary Mass and Prayer Procession, 8 a.m. Begins with Mass at either St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph or St. Bernard Church, Benton Harbor. A prayerful procession from both churches will follow after Mass to St. John Church, Benton Harbor (approx. two miles) to assemble for a short prayer service at 10 a.m., opportunity for a plenary indulgence and a May Crowning. Fellowship and refreshments to follow; transportation will be provided back to cars. All are encouraged to wear blue in honor of Our Lady. 7th Annual Purse Bingo at St. Jerome Church
